He is an Overcomer

Even in Old Testament times His Word had the answer to any perceived problem.

How much more for us with the 'Great I AM' as our aide., counsellor, protector, physician, financial adviser, strength, rock etc.
Jesus promised us trials but he also told us to be of good cheer because He is the Overcomer.

Our Saviour is an
Overcomer!  And He is our Friend!

Pray 4 Australian Police

February 2010

Senior Sergeant, Paul Mellick recently sent us an article on the topic 'Where Authority Comes From', here is an excerpt:

“... Kingdom-delegated authority is found in Romans 13:1-2 - Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God.

Notice it says “every soul”.  No exceptions.   In this specific  text Paul is referring to civil or governing authorities.

Police form part of those ‘governing authorities’.  The power and authority invested in police is derived from the governing state or territories for the primary purpose of enforcing the rule of law.  Police are in fact, appointed by God and are working for Him (whether they realize it or not).   In honouring them, we honour Him who appointed them.”    Read more

Please Pray:

For renewed understanding of the need to honour our Police through prayer

Col Stringer describes himself as a man who grew up in a time of honour.  An honour that had been passed down through generations of grandfathers and fathers who believed,  that a man's word was his bond and a promise was a promise.

It was, as Col said:  "A time when a teacher's threat to contact a student's parents meant something!"  When you'd get a clip round the ear if a policeman visited your door. You'd say, "but Mum, I didn't do … “and she'd say, "You must have …" as she belted you!

It was a day when the Police were esteemed and their value and was understood."

NOTE: Let us be lead like Ezekiel, when we see dry bones let us speak LIFE into them.  When we see things in need of repair let us call them into order.

"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
 (John 14:13)

For an increase in Crime detection rates in our Communities

The UK's Mail Online ran a story this month on the power of prayer in a community.
Inspector, Roger Bartlett, tired of battling some of the lowest crime detection rates in the Barnstaple area, asked churchgoers to pray for the Lord to help the police and to lower crime in their community.

As the Mail reported, ‘detection rates have soared and the Inspector is convinced that prayer was the key.  “Every quarter the number of crimes solved has risen, so that at its current figure – more than 40 percent – it is one of the highest in the country.”  He also asked for prayer for a reduction in the number of serious or fatal road accidents and they fell from 97 in 2007/8 to 32 in 2008/2009.

ALSO:  The UK Christian Police Association’s Autumn 2009 edition reports that since 21 May (National Day of Prayer for the Police) there have been 400 fewer crimes in Gloucestershire than over the same six-week period in 2008. Across the three divisions that is a 6, 9 and 4 per cent drop

"Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power
of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in
your prayers for all Christians everywhere"
(Eph 6:18)
