In 2001 the Neighbour's Aid Team were confronted with the desperate needs of children in both Israel, Thailand and Africa and determined to do something to help.

In a huge leap of faith they set up their first Neighbour's Aid Community Store in Currie Street Nambour.

Just a year later the store was already proving a success and they expanded to incorporate a warehouse and workshop in a nearby building, just to house their furniture donations.

There is now a superstore at 99 howard street … along with another store at Shop 2 / 125 Bulcock street, Caloundra and shop 1 / 9 Dampier street, Warane, Hobart
