What's
happening in the Middle East is no more and no less than what
the Hebrew prophets, the book of Revelation and even Jesus
himself (in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21) told us would
happen in the end of days. Unfortunately, other modern day
prophets of fortune and affluence have been giving us a spurious
message of pie in the sky (but not in the Bible) for some
6 decades or more, that totally short-circuits truth if not
reality. The sub-title in my latest book, "Showdown
of the Gods" sums it up quite accurately: "The evening
news won't surprise old Zechariah!"

There
is nothing more confusing than the Israel/Palestinian conflict.
Millions
of words have been written and spoken about it, but how much
of it has made sense? Jews and Zionists will tell you one
thing and Arabs will tell you the opposite! The situation
is so complex, puzzling and emotionally charged that it is
well-nigh impossible to get an objective viewpoint - it is
difficult to find historical sources with no 'axes to grind',
commentators who could be accepted as truly impartial.
A
Jew often answers a question with a question ~ so I guess
I'd generally reply, "well what do you think God says about
it?"
