The issue is clear

Fred NileThe issue is clear. Do we want every Bill that comes before Parliament to be scrutinized and changed to make it more into line with Christian and family values, or do we want our nation to continue to slide into a secular and permissive society? The major parties will continue to produce such legislation in the Lower House in response to pressure groups.

But in the Upper house, every Bill must be debated and details examined. No matter how Labor or Coalition will poll, they will not have a majority and will depend upon the Cross Bench for support. With one seat making the difference, the people who will determine how NSW will go for the next four years will be either the Greens or the Christian Democratic Party with the Shooters Party and one other. It is that “one other” that is crucial. It will be either a Green or a CDP member.

It is essential we ask every church congregation and every church member to vote for Fred Nile and his team as No 1 above the black line. That is all you must do to ensure a better and safer country. The issue is quite clear, and a few thousand people will determine the result. Make sure they are our kind of people! The issue is clear.

REV HON DR GORDON MOYES, A.C. M.L.C.

Give Fred a go!

February 2007

Fred NileNo-one deserves to be re-elected to the NSW Parliament, as much the leader of the Christian Democratic Party, Rev Fred Nile. No-one from any party and from either House of Parliament, has driven more miles, spoken at more meetings, and come face to face with more electors across the state than Fred. Not the Premier, not the Leader of the Opposition, not any other politician. .

After twenty five years in Parliament, Fred is not resting on his laurels as one of the most recognized faces in NSW. Nor is he depending upon the fact that people know well what it is that he stands for. He is treating this election like every other one he has won, and has taken his program to the people face to face for their comments and approval.

Fred is known by all in Parliament as a “straight shooter” and as one who stands up for Christian values and on those issues he thinks are just and right. .

Rev Fred Nile is unique among politicians, and for the sake of all we hold dear, we must re-elect him, and his second on the ticket, Retired Police Inspector, Gary Raymond, O.A.M., A.P.M.. Gary will make an excellent addition to the Legislative Council.

With a record number of candidates for the Christian Democratic Party standing in the Lower House for 70 of the 90 seats in NSW, we have a wonderful opportunity to make the Christian voiced heard. Please make your offer to help on Polling Day, ask your church to encourage the vote for the CDP, and encourage your friends to support a just and decent NSW.

REV HON DR GORDON MOYES, A.C. M.L.C.

Rev the Hon Dr Gordon Moyes AC MLC is one of Australias most respected Christian leaders. Ordained as a minister in the Uniting Church in Australia, he served for 27 years as the Superintendent of Wesley Mission Sydney, Australias largest non-government welfare provider and the worlds largest city-based church. He is also a prominent evangelist, broadcaster and elected Member of the New South Wales Legislative Council.

He became a household name in Australia many years ago when he began as host of the weekly television program Turn Round Australia and radio program Sunday Night Live with Gordon Moyes.

Prime Minister John Howard characterised Dr Moyes as the epitome of effective Christian leadership, when describing the way he had grown Wesley Mission into one of the most dynamic and socially responsive church-based charities in the world.
