Election Focus

It's Never TOO Early to be ready for the Next Election

Updated Nov 2007

Family First & Same Sex Marriage

Family First's Core Values are found on their website ... the following is excerpted from the section called "The Family."

Nov 22, 2007 Five Reasons To Vote Greens

  • If you want drug injecting rooms across Australia, vote Greens.
  • If you want to decriminalise drugs like ice and cannabis for personal use, vote Greens.
  • If you want to legalise the sale of X-rated material, vote Greens.
  • If you want same-sex marriage and taxpayer-funded IVF for same-sex couples, vote Greens.
  • If you want more than $1 billion stripped from non-government schools, vote Greens.

These policies are all in the Greens policy document. If, however, you want to strengthen family life and want commonsense in politics, vote Family First.

Nov 21, 2007 Who Will Win The Balance Of Power?

The Coalition is likely to lose control of the Senate while Labor is just as unlikely to win it. The Balance of Power is likely to be won by Family First or the Greens. So why no scrutiny of what the two parties stand for?

What is a Family?

“Family” for Family First means the relationships that bind grandparents, parents and their children, mums and dads and siblings and form the basis of a living community. A broader experience of extended family relationships enriches family life. Family grows out of heterosexual relationships between men and women. Family life flourishes when couples strive for stable commitment to sexual fidelity to each other. Family is about striving for a shared life journey together founded on a lived experience of relationship. There can be no doubt that flourishing family life creates the best environment
for children.
