Election Focus

It's Never TOO Early to be ready for the Next Election

aclThe Australian Sex Party

'We are serious about sex' is the slogan for a new political party - The Australian Sex Party.

Sorry, you need to stop laughing because we are not joking. This Party, led by the very wealthy porn industry, are serious and they have serious motives – to stop you and me stopping them.

"We're concerned that religious groups are having an increasing influence on the national debate… and rising wowserism.

But these people not only want more sexual freedom for themselves, they want to teach YOUR children all about it too.

How’s this for a classic? “There's so much concern about the sexualisation of children, children being exposed to material. I would have thought our first action would be education."

Get it? “There is so much concern” - so we have to give them MORE sex-education!!! No thought that LESS emphasis on sex might help, but somehow a greater emphasis will!

Talk about calling good evil and evil good!!!

There is nothing wrong with sex, God instigated it.

He could have made us to self replicate or evolve but he did not. He created us and in us created interdependence, relationship and intimacy that, at the right time and with the right person, after making a life long commitment, could culminate in glorious sex and reproduction. He invited us to share in the amazing process of creation.

BUT he warned us of the dangers of abusing that gift. He expects modesty, celibacy in singleness faithfulness in marriage. He taught us to respect others.

BUT pornography destroys all that, it abuses that wonderful gift. Public sex, nudity, promiscuity, unfaithfulness are all part of pornography. It is impossible to use porn of any type without destroying all the things God holds dear about relationships.
The only good thing about the formation of this new Party is that it shows you and I are making a difference. We must continue to do so for the sake of this and future generations.

This group/Party will have money – money from pornography - and they will have influence because they speak with one voice - a VERY deceptive voice. They say “Basically, should what happens in your bedroom be decided by minority religious lobby groups?

Yet this Party has nothing to say about what you do in your bedroom but everything about what is publicly available and accepted as normal.  Its platform includes, a national sex education curriculum, reducing censorship, abolishing the government's proposed internet filter and supporting gay marriage.

Yes, there is great concern about the sexualisation of our children, so we must fight all attempts to further ‘educate’ them with the world’s message about sex and instead show them God’s message about modesty, true love, intimacy and respect.

Action - We must continue to fight the good fight.

Perhaps the church could manage to speak with one voice on this issue or is that too much to ask?

I hope not.

Pornography and promiscuity go hand in hand and we must not simply say enough is enough but that enough is already way to far.

We must tell our MP’s that we have already gone too far with sex education, that this should be a parental responsibility and parents should also control what might be done at school.

We have allowed sex to dominate through the media, internet and TV, and we can see the damage it is causing. We must show  our MP's buy spelling it out to them.
