Effective
Praying
Last
time I shared with you about being persistent
in our prayer life. Praying always and continuing
in prayer.
If
we are going to be effective when we pray there
are some necessary rules or guidelines we need
to follow.
1.
Pray to the Father in Jesus Name.
In Jn. 14:12-14 Jesus was talking to his disciples
about His going to the Father and that they
would do greater works.
He
encouraged them to ask anything in His Name
and He would do it.
I want you to notice that, Jesus was not talking
about asking or demanding in Jesus Name and
Jesus will do it. He was talking about the authority
we have in His Name, authority over the devil,
sickness and disease.
Now look at Jn. 16: 23-24 where Jesus told the
disciples that whatever you ask the Father in
My Name, He (the Father) will give you.
When
we come to God our Heavenly Father in prayer,
we ask in Jesus Name and we have the assurance
that our Father in Heaven hears and answers.
We
receive and our cup of joy will overflow.
I
think that is wonderful.
What
a privilege we have to come to the Father in
Jesus Name.
We
come in Jesus Name, "presenting all I AM".
He
is the great I AM, He is King of Kings, Lord
of Lords, He is the Saviour, the Deliverer,
He is the Healer etc.
Heb.
4: 16 says to come boldly to the throne of grace
that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of need.
Not
only that but in Heb. 10: 19-22 we have boldness
to enter the Holies by the blood of Jesus.
It
is through the blood of Jesus.
It is a new and living way which Christ has
opened for us through the veil into the very
presence of God Himself.
What
a wonderful privilege we have of talking to
God personally and directly.
His
invitation stands we can come to the Father
in the Name of Jesus at any time and fellowship
with Him.
Love
and Blessings
