"Black Swan" Director Wants to Tell Noah's Story
What would it look like if a Hollywood blockbuster director imagined the story of Noah's Ark for a major movie?
We're not talking as a comedy, like Evan Almighty, but as an "edgy re-telling."
Darren Aronofsky [director, BLACK SWAN; executive producer, THE FIGHTER] wants Christian Bale to star in his proposed project. He wants $130 million for the budget, and if he can get his star and his budget, then he should be able to attract interest from major studios.
John Logan [GLADIATOR, THE AVIATOR, RANGO] is on board as writer and New Regency Pictures [MONTE CARLO, KNIGHT AND DAY, BRIDE WARS, MR. & MRS. SMITH] is on board as the production company.
Will he find a studio and financing for his planned epic? And if he does, how close will it come to the Biblical story?

"Faith Ford in "Field of Vision"
Angela Walker, ChristianCinema.com | Actress Faith Ford is probably best known to television audiences for her roles in sitcoms, most notably Murphy Brown and Hope & Faith.
She received several nominations and a couple of awards for her comedic work on Murphy Brown, so it's a nice change of pace to see her in a dramatic role as a wife, mother and high school guidance counselor in FIELD OF VISION.
"For me, it wasn't heavy drama," Faith said in a recent interview. "I got to be me. It was heartfelt and occasionally emotional in some ways, and was sort of true to life for me."
