Celebrity Big Brother: Has Stephanie been converted? Actress breaks down in tears THREE times... over the bible
23/01 Daily Mail UK | Born again Christian Stephen Baldwin may have been sent packing from the Big Brother house. But it seems he managed to influence fellow housemates Stephanie Beacham with his preaching before he went. In footage aired in last night's show, the actress broke down three times as she talked about the bible.
She told Big Brother that if Stephen - who was afforded an hour with the bible each day - was evicted she would still like access to the Holy book. Speaking in the diary room, the 62-year-old insisted she was not acting as she wept. She told Big Brother: 'It genuinely moved me - the idea of not having the bible.' As she started to cry, she continued: 'This is not acting... the idea of not having a bible would be truly depressing... so if Stephen left I would really like the privilege of the bile please.'

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: In UAE Daily: 'Where is the Arab World's Nelson Mandela...'
MEMRI | In an article in the UAE English-language daily The National, titled "We Need a Nelson Mandela Who Knows When To Go," Sultan Al Qassemi, whom the paper notes is a non-resident fellow at the Dubai School of Government, writes about the dearth of democratic practices in the Arab world, particularly the absence of presidential term limits and other restraints on absolute power. He asks, "Where is the Arab world's Nelson Mandela? He too was hugely popular when his second term expired, and yet he followed the constitution to the letter – stepping down and allowing others the opportunity to run and be elected."

Robert Park -- Why did he do it?
09/01 Assist News | When US citizen Robert Park, 28, crossed the river into North Korea on Christmas Day 2009 carrying letters that call on the nation’s dictator to shut down the country's political prison camps and step down from power, he didn't sneak around in the dark biting his nails. He crossed the frozen Tumen River boldly shouting to its citizens something about love.
When US citizen Robert Park, 28, crossed the river into North Korea on Christmas Day 2009 carrying letters that call on the nation’s dictator to shut down the country's political prison camps and step down from power, he didn't sneak around in the dark biting his nails. He crossed the frozen Tumen River boldly shouting to its citizens something about love.
This isn't the first time that Park walked into unknown territory to show love to people. Park brought food and love to the poor in Mexico and even to those suffering in his native country, the United States. A friend of Park, Nancy Purcell from the Philadelphia area, told me that she spent hours with Park one day at a prayer gathering at The Mall in Washington, DC. They saw a homeless woman and Park spoke to her of the love of God for her and for her children. After speaking about the love, Park took action—he opened his wallet and gave the homeless woman his money.
Why North Korea? Life inside North Korea is hard to depict.
USA: Lesbian 'mother' case presents constitutional issue
Charlie Butts | A Vermont judge has ruled that the birth mother of a Virginia girl must turn custody of the child over to a former lesbian partner.
Lisa Miller was in a homosexual relationship with Janet Jenkins in Vermont, but Miller became a Christian, gave up her former lifestyle and moved to Virginia with her daughter. Although Jenkins is not the biological mother and never tried to adopt the now seven-year-old Isabella, Vermont Judge William Cohen ordered Miller to turn the girl over to Jenkins this Friday. Attorney Steve Crampton tells OneNewsNow that Liberty Counsel argued before a Virginia judge last week, asking for Miller's protection.
USA: Do you question Obama's commitment to war against radical Islam?
James L. Lambert, Guest Columnist, Christian Post | Radio talk-show host Michael Savage says he's lost confidence in the Obama administration's prosecution of the war against radical Islam. Several security blunders along with recent public policy changes by the administration over the past few months have raised new doubts about the president's commitment to rigorously protecting America.
... Like many Americans -- not just New Yorkers -- Savage is deeply troubled that Obama's Justice Department is allowing the confessed 9/11 mastermind, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (KSM), to be tried in a New York City courtroom. Security expenses for the upcoming trial are expected to cost taxpayers in excess of $200 million. And by not prosecuting KSM as a foreign combatant in a military tribunal, Attorney General Eric Holder has created a potential series of legal problems for the federal government's prosecution team.
... In another policy shift, Obama's operatives have decided to avoid the phrase "war on terror" because it might be offensive to some Islamic groups.
